It is believed to bring hurdles, delays, and uncertainties in life. Performing the Kaal Sarp Dosh Puja is regarded as a powerful remedy to reduce its malefic effects. While this puja can be performed on various occasions, doing it on Nag Panchami holds exceptional spiritual significance.

In this blog, we will explore why Nag Panchami is considered the most auspicious day for Kaal Sarp Dosh Puja, what rituals are performed, what benefits are expected, and how devotees can prepare for this special day.

What is Kaal Sarp Dosh?

Kaal Sarp Dosh occurs when all the planets in a person’s birth chart are positioned between Rahu and Ketu. This astrological alignment creates a dosha that can manifest as obstacles in career, family life, marriage, health, and financial growth.

Symptoms of Kaal Sarp Dosh:

• Frequent failures in important tasks.

• Delays in marriage and childbirth.

• Sudden health issues and chronic problems.

• Financial instability despite hard work.

• Repeated nightmares of snakes or ancestors.

Thus, the dosh is believed to have both material and psychological effects on the individual.

What is Nag Panchami?

Nag Panchami is a Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of Nag Devta (serpent deities). It falls on the fifth day of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of the lunar month of Shravan (July–August). On this day, devotees worship snakes, offer milk, flowers, and prayers, and seek blessings for protection from evil and negative forces.

Since Kaal Sarp Dosh is directly linked to Rahu, Ketu, and serpent energy, performing puja on Nag Panchami is believed to pacify these planetary influences.

Why is Nag Panchami Best for Kaal Sarp Dosh Puja?

Nag Panchami is considered the most sacred and powerful day for removing serpent-related doshas. Here’s why:

1. Direct Connection with Serpent Energy – As Rahu and Ketu represent serpent energy, worshipping Nag Devta directly influences their malefic impact.

2. Ancestral Blessings – It is also believed that ancestors bless those who perform puja on this day, helping remove Pitru Dosha alongside Kaal Sarp Dosh.

3. Cosmic Alignment – The planetary energies on this day are especially supportive for those who seek relief from astrological problems.
