In such cases, Ark Vivah Puja performed at Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga is considered one of the most powerful remedies.

In this detailed guide, we will explore the meaning of Ark Vivah, its significance, the procedure, benefits, and why Trimbakeshwar is the most sacred place for performing this puja. Additionally, we will answer frequently asked questions to help you make an informed decision if you are planning to perform Ark Vivah.

1. What is Ark Vivah Puja?

Ark Vivah Puja is a traditional Hindu ritual performed to nullify the effects of Mangal Dosha or other planetary doshas that cause delays and disturbances in marriage.

In this ritual, the person afflicted with Mangal Dosha symbolically marries an Ark Tree (Aak Plant), which is considered holy and associated with Lord Surya (the Sun God). This symbolic marriage is performed before the actual human marriage, thereby transferring the malefic effects of Mangal Dosha to the Ark Tree.

As a result, the individual becomes free from the harmful effects of the dosha, and the path toward a harmonious married life opens.

2. Understanding Mangal Dosha and Its Impact

Before understanding the importance of Ark Vivah, it is essential to know why Mangal Dosha is feared in marriage.

Mangal Dosha occurs when the planet Mars (Mangal) is placed in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house of an individual’s horoscope. People with this dosha are called Mangliks.

Effects of Mangal Dosha on Marriage

• Delays in Marriage – Many Manglik individuals face long delays in finding a suitable partner.

• Marital Discord – After marriage, frequent conflicts and misunderstandings may arise.

• Health Issues – It may bring health problems for the spouse or the individual.

• Separation or Divorce – In severe cases, it may even cause separation.

• Financial Struggles – Couples may face unnecessary financial instability.

Thus, Ark Vivah is seen as an effective remedy to reduce these negative effects and ensure marital stability.
